ILLUSTRATIONS

I've loved drawing since I was young, but it wasn't until I was in college that I truly explored all the medias and techniques to create something I was truly proud of. I was exposed to Copic markers and mixed medias, beyond just the rudimentary. I took several art classes to get a wide variety of experience, and my fashion illustration classes gave me a wonderful insight into drawing figures. Not always to real life design, but in a way that adds flourish and depth to an illustration. Over the years I found that gauche and watercolors are my preferred media. I love how diverse they can be, going from creating soft folds of chiffon, to textured appliques with no trouble at all.

A few years ago I decided to expand on my passion, and began trying to find ways to bring others into it. When a friend of mine got married, I had a great idea, that I would create a custom illustration of her in her wedding dress, as a memento for her to keep for the years ahead. She ended up loving it, and from then on I began expanding on that project as friends and family got married themselves, and they began commissioning to create illustrations for their loved ones.

I also began creating fashion illustrations based off of my favorite red carpet looks, looking to events like the Cannes Film Festival, the British Royal Family, and editorials for most of my inspiration. I enjoy finding the romance and art in any look, whether it be a woman's day coat, a man's suit, or the perfect pair of shoes. I draw anything that catches my eye, from dramatic designs with structured panels and voluminous skirts, to soft flowing dresses with delicate applique.
